The Engineering Supervisor will liaise with external/internal stakeholders and ensure continuous operations of the company’s facilities including electrical, air-conditioning, distribution centres, among others; without disrupting business. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor who will join our organization, overseeing daily engineering activities across MINISO Nigeria facilities and stores. This role includes supervising contractors/engineers/technicians in maintenance and repair works, coordinating fit-out projects, and ensuring that all engineering operations meet safety, quality, technical and efficiency standards. Job Description Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local building codes, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Compiling project specification, supervising tendering procedures, & maintenance of facilities and equipment belonging to the company. Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from design to execution, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site supervision and using a range of computer software (Autocad) to develop detailed technical drawings & designs for projects in line with standard and approval from reporting line & HQ design team. Manage external service providers /technicians (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil works, etc.) for the execution of repairs and maintenance works within timelines. Carryout all other engineering job responsibility assigned by the Line Manager. Supervises all renovation projects of the company, including the renovation of stores and warehouse using light gauge steel joist and gypsum finishing, ensuring timeliness, effective management of budgets and project resources. Oversee the structural and electrical set-up of new stores. Qualifications & Requirements: Sound mathematical, scientific and IT skills. Relevant professional qualification or certification is required. Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced retail setting. Technical expertise & analytical thinking skills Proficiency in engineering software (e.g. CAD etc) and MS Office tools. HND/ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering or any other related discipline. Excellent negotiating skills. Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience: with budgeting and cost control in engineering projects Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Must possess Maintenance & Repair skills, with hands-on experience: in troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance in retail or commercial environments. Strong knowledge of utility systems (power distribution, HVAC, etc.). Experience: in Facility Management in the retail industry is an advantage. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and safety standards. Familiarity with health, safety, environmental and industry regulatory standards.
