We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Assistant Manager – Accounts Location: Ota, Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts to oversee financial operations at our plant in Ota. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure timely reconciliations, and support the Accounts Manager in all accounting activities. Key Responsibilities: Debtors & Creditors Reconciliation: Prepare aging reports for management review. Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding receivables and resolution of vendor payment discrepancies. Manage end-to-end reconciliation of customer (debtors) and vendor (creditors) accounts. Bank Reconciliation & General Accounting: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets. Assist with the month-end closing process to ensure all books are finalized within defined timelines. Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and the general ledger. Compliance & Internal Controls: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during periodic audits by providing necessary documentation. Ensure effectiveness of financial controls at the factory level. Reporting & Business Partnering: Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports for the Accounts Manager. Partner with the plant team to manage financial transactions including invoice processing and cost monitoring. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar accounting role ( experience: in a manufacturing company is an advantage). Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional Certification: ICAN membership (or in progress) is strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Accounting Software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems) and Advanced MS Excel. Key Competencies: Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
