We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: Field Service / HSE Officer Location: Benin City, Edo Employment Type: Full Time Industry: HVAC / Facilities Management Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, technically competent, and safety-conscious professional to oversee HVAC rental and maintenance activities at customer locations in Benin. The successful candidate will coordinate technicians, manage customer relationships, supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensure timely completion of jobs, and maintain strict compliance with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong HVAC knowledge, excellent team leadership and customer service skills, and the ability to coordinate field operations while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Rental & Field Service Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of HVAC rental activities at designated customer locations. Ensure quarterly preventive maintenance is carried out on all rented AC units as scheduled. Coordinate and supervise technicians to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction. Provide management and technical support to technicians in resolving field issues. Meet with customers periodically to review service delivery, address concerns, and discuss operational requirements. Receive, review, and act on reports and feedback from technicians and customers. Conduct regular stock-taking and ensure proper arrangement and availability of spare parts, tools, and logistics required by technicians. Coordinate the daily deployment of spare parts and other resources based on operational requirements. Ensure invoices are promptly raised for completed jobs. Assist in following up on and receiving customer payments where required. Prepare and submit periodic operational reports to the Line Manager. Monitor service delivery and ensure agreed customer requirements: and service standards are consistently met. Maintenance Activities: Coordinate day-to-day AC maintenance and repair activities at customer locations. Supervise maintenance jobs involving customer-owned AC units. Conduct site visits to assess HVAC faults and maintenance requirements. Prepare and coordinate quotations for repair and maintenance jobs. Ensure quotations are accurately prepared and submitted to customers for approval before applicable repair works commence. Coordinate technicians during approved repair and maintenance activities. Monitor completed jobs to ensure they meet required technical and quality standards. Ensure invoices are raised promptly after completion of approved maintenance and repair jobs. Maintain accurate records of quotations, completed jobs, invoices, maintenance activities, and customer feedback. Follow up on outstanding quotations and approved maintenance works to ensure timely execution. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures at all customer locations. Conduct regular checks to identify potential workplace and field safety hazards. Ensure technicians use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safe working practices. Promote a strong safety culture among technicians and other field personnel. Report accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. Ensure maintenance and field activities are conducted in accordance with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements. Maintain appropriate HSE documentation and records. Requirements: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering or a related technical field with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience: in HVAC repair, maintenance, field service, or facilities management. Must possess HSE Levels 1, 2 & 3 certifications. Strong practical knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly air-conditioning installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Proven ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate technical teams. Experience: managing customer accounts or service relationships is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices. Ability to prepare or coordinate quotations, invoices, service reports, and maintenance documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools. Must be willing to work in the field and travel to customer locations as required.
