We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: CNG Plant Manager Location: Falomo - Ikoyi , Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Operations Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Job Purpose This role ensures that the plant operates efficiently, maintains high uptime, and meets contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customers. The IPP Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management, operation, and maintenance of Independent Power Plants (IPP) within Bayshore Technologies’ Power as a Service and Power Solutions verticals. Key Responsibilities: (JD) Power Plant Operations & Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize fuel efficiency, ensuring adherence to contractually agreed consumption rates (e.g., 3.6 KWH per SCM with Mantrac). Ensure power distribution infrastructure is preventively and correctively maintained to avoid downtime. Ensure 98%+ uptime of power generation as per SLA agreements. Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power generation assets. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance of Power Distribution Infrastructure: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure rapid response times for corrective maintenance. Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize power distribution failures. Ensure all transformers, switchgear, and distribution lines are in optimal working condition. Compliance with ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 Standards: Ensure continuous compliance with ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). Train plant personnel on safety best practices and ensure zero safety incidents. Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate with external auditors for certification renewals. Financial & Cost Management: Optimize operational expenses while ensuring reliable power generation. Monitor fuel costs, negotiate supply contracts, and reduce inefficiencies in energy conversion. Monitor financial performance of plant operations. Industry Intelligence Gathering & Status Reports: Analyze competitor strategies and recommend improvements for Bayshore’s IPP business. Provide quarterly market intelligence reports on power generation trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements. Submit weekly/monthly performance reports detailing uptime, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and compliance updates. Skills & Qualifications Proven track record in ISO 45001 & ISO 9001 compliance. Education: & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. 7+ years of experience: in power plant management, IPP operations, or energy infrastructure. Experience: in commercial and business development within the energy sector. Technical & Soft Skills: Strong knowledge of power generation technologies, CNG fuel efficiency, and distribution infrastructure. Proficiency in contract management, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
