The Consumer Lending & POS Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving the acquisition of customers for consumer loan products and Point-of-Sale (POS) services. The role involves prospecting for new customers, promoting financial products, building strong customer relationships, achieving assigned sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales and onboarding process. Key Responsibilities: Consumer Lending Sales: Identify and prospect eligible customers for consumer loan products. Promote and explain available loan products, features, benefits, interest rates, and repayment terms. Assess customers' needs and recommend suitable lending solutions. Generate quality loan leads and convert prospects into active customers. Assist customers with loan application documentation and submission. Follow up on loan applications and liaise with relevant internal teams to ensure timely processing. Maintain accurate records of prospects, applications, disbursements, and customer interactions. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and lending guidelines. POS Sales: Identify and acquire merchants requiring POS terminal services. Promote POS solutions and explain their benefits: to prospective merchants. Drive the onboarding and activation of new POS merchants. Support merchants with required documentation and onboarding procedures. Follow up to ensure successful POS deployment, activation, and usage. Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to encourage transaction growth and retention. Monitor assigned merchants and identify opportunities for increased POS transaction volumes. Address basic merchant concerns and escalate technical or operational issues when necessary. General Sales and Relationship Management: Meet and exceed assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Conduct field sales activities, customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and merchants. Build long-term relationships with customers, merchants, and referral partners. Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer enquiries. Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports. Keep updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Participate in sales meetings, product training, and performance reviews. Maintain confidentiality and protect customer information at all times. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Number and value of consumer loans sourced. Number of qualified loan applications generated. Loan conversion and disbursement rate. Number of new POS merchants acquired. Number of POS terminals successfully activated. POS transaction volume and value generated. Customer and merchant retention rate. Achievement of monthly sales targets. Quality and accuracy of customer documentation. Timeliness of reporting and compliance with company procedures. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of an HND, or Bachelor's Degree in anyrelated field. Previous experience: in banking, financial services, fintech, consumer lending, POS acquisition, or direct sales is an added advantage. Strong sales, negotiation, and customer acquisition skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Good knowledge of consumer lending and digital payment solutions is an advantage. Ability to work independently and meet challenging sales targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
