We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Hotel Auditor Location: Yola, Adamawa Responsibilties Audit Food and Beverage (F&B) operations. Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements. Reconcile occupancy reports with room revenue. Audit Purchasing and Store activities. Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and procedures. Identify revenue leakages and recommend corrective measures. Review cash, bank, POS, and credit transactions for accuracy. Highlight financial risks, discrepancies, and recommendations. Verify invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers. Conduct surprise cash counts at the front office, restaurant, and bar. Monitor compliance with company policies and industry standards. Audit Housekeeping and Laundry revenue. Ensure all revenue generated by the hotel is properly accounted for. Generate daily financial and operational reports. Monitor room revenue, restaurant sales, bar sales, laundry, and other income sources. Verify discounts, complimentary services, refunds, and voided transactions. Investigate suspicious transactions or unusual variances. Monitor payroll records for accuracy. Verify all daily financial transactions and ensure they are accurately recorded. Assess operational and financial risks. Maintain proper audit records and documentation. Audit Front Office operations. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports. Ensure all expenses are properly supported with documentation. Audit Maintenance expenses and records. Audit inventory records and stock movements. Detect fraudulent activities and financial irregularities. Balance guest folios and front office transactions. Submit audit findings to the General Manager and hotel owners. Recommend process improvements to reduce losses. Reconcile daily sales with cash collections and bank deposits. Audit Payroll and Human Resources records where applicable. Recommend measures to minimize financial risk. Verify that all departments adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Investigate stock shortages, overages, and discrepancies. Ensure all charges are correctly posted to guest accounts. Ensure compliance with tax and statutory regulations. Verify purchasing and receiving records. Perform end-of-day (EOD) closing procedures. Review departmental expenditures for accuracy and authorization.
