We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Electrical/Civil to take overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of substation and electrical distribution projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Delivery: Monitor project progress and ensure timely achievement of key deliverables. Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and execution plans. Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Take overall ownership of project execution from mobilization through completion and handover. Ensure effective allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources. Identify project risks, constraints, and potential delays and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Electrical & Civil Works: Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspection, and final energization/handover activities. Review and coordinate electrical and civil engineering drawings and resolve technical discrepancies. Ensure construction and installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and method statements. Supervise activities including equipment installation, cable laying, earthing, foundations, equipment bases, cable trenches, drainage, fencing, and other associated works. Oversee electrical and civil works associated with substations and distribution infrastructure. Client & Stakeholder Management: Provide regular project status reports covering progress, cost, schedule, quality, HSE, and key risks. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on project execution matters. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and other project stakeholders. Manage project expectations and ensure contractual and technical requirements: are met. Lead project progress meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Contractor & Team Management: Coordinate procurement and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment are available when required. Lead and coordinate project engineers, supervisors, site teams, subcontractors, and other project personnel. Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and compliance with project requirements. Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication across the project. Provide direction and support to site teams in resolving technical and operational challenges. Cost, Quality & HSE Management: Maintain proper project documentation, records, reports, and handover documents. Ensure implementation of project quality assurance and quality control procedures. Monitor project costs and work with relevant teams to maintain the project within approved budget. Identify opportunities to minimize rework, wastage, delays, and unnecessary project expenditure. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience: in substation, power distribution, transmission, or electrical infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management/scheduling software is an advantage. Experience: coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities. Experience: managing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams. Demonstrated experience: in managing or leading multidisciplinary electrical and civil projects. Strong understanding of substation and distribution project execution. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline (B.Tech/B.Eng.).
