We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Branch Internal Auditor Location: Surulere, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Verify stock balances, supplier transactions, inter-departmental transfers, and store-to-production activities to ensure accountability and traceability. Support management in risk assessment, loss prevention in production, cost optimization, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Evaluate internal control systems across retail and production operations and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost control. Conduct regular and surprise audits of all departments, branches, and production units (Pastries, Bakery, and Kitchen) to ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and financial controls. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on compliance across all departments, including production units. Audit production processes, including material issuance, usage, wastage, yield, and variance analysis within the Pastries, Bakery, and Kitchen units. Detect, investigate, and promptly report discrepancies, fraud, wastage, shrinkage, or policy violations to management. Prepare detailed audit reports and submit findings, risks identified, and corrective action plans to the Head of Audit and Management. Review cash handling, sales records, production outputs, inventory management (raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods), and expense documentation for accuracy and completeness. Requirements: Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Demonstrated experience: in auditing, internal control, or accounting roles, with preference for candidates from retail, FMCG, eateries, audit firm, or supermarket environments. Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, internal control systems, and audit standards. Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience: in auditing or internal control. Excellent attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work with minimal supervision. ICAN Certification is an added advantage.
