Job Purpose The Security Officer - Depot (Seme Border) is responsible for safeguarding Dangote Cement assets, personnel, and operations within assigned depot and border locations. The role ensures secure movement of goods from loading points to final destinations, while preventing theft, diversion, vandalism, and other security threats. The position also supports seamless logistics operations by collaborating with internal teams, government agencies, and external stakeholders, while maintaining effective deployment and monitoring of security systems and providing timely reporting on all security matters. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the protection of Dangote Cement depots, border facilities, and all company assets, including machinery, trucks, and products, against theft, diversion, and economic sabotage. Monitor logistics and export corridors to prevent disruptions that may impact product distribution. Facilitate safe and uninterrupted movement of Dangote trucks across assigned routes and border points. Collaborate closely with Sales, Plant Operations, and other security personnel to supervise product movement from dispatch to delivery. Maintain regular communication with depot and border security teams to track movement of goods and share intelligence. Develop and implement strategies to prevent product diversion and unauthorized activities within Nigeria and neighboring countries. Liaise with government security agencies (Customs, Police, etc.) to address security risks including theft, vandalism, and adulteration of products. Monitor border activities and promptly report any incidents or threats to the Security Coordinator and relevant stakeholders. Enforce compliance with company security policies for all personnel and vehicles accessing depot facilities. Deploy and maintain security systems to enhance monitoring, control, and reporting accuracy. Prepare and submit timely security reports, incident logs, and intelligence updates.
