Original source description

Aviot Investment Nigeria Limited is the Nigerian subsidiary of a Canadian finance and investment holding company. From our Victoria Island, Lagos base we operate across commodity trading and export, structured trade finance, and institutional procurement Read more about this company Advisory Analyst Job Type Full Time , Onsite Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 0 - 3 years Location Lagos Job Field Consultancy Salary Range ₦200,000 - ₦300,000/month THE FIRM Aviot Advisory is the advisory practice of Aviot Investment Nigeria Limited, the Nigerian subsidiary of Aviot Industries Inc., a finance and investment holding company headquartered in Toronto, Canada, operating across North America and Africa. The practice works with Nigerian mid-market businesses on two things at present: preparing them for the regulatory obligations now landing on them, and putting AI properly into how they actually operate. Both are engagements where the client either has a working result at the end or does not, and where the standard of the record is tested rather than debated. Every engagement produces findings, computations and determinations, supported by evidence and attributable to named preparers. That is where the practice is starting. It is not where it intends to stay, and the people who join now will build what comes next. THE ROLE The Analyst is the analytical foundation of every engagement the firm runs. Working under supervision, you will: Conduct research and gather evidence for live client engagements Build and maintain engagement working files, schedules and data Draft sections of client deliverables for review Prepare analysis, schedules and models in Excel or Google Sheets Maintain document control and filing standards on every engagement Record engagement time accurately in accordance with the firm's standard Analysts are also expected to contribute to the firm's commercial intelligence. Observations drawn from engagement work, whether a recurring client difficulty, a process still performed manually, or a regulatory change approaching an industry, are brought forward and assessed on their merits. This expectation applies from the first engagement and at every level of the practice. REMUNERATION Base salary is NGN 180,000 to NGN 250,000 gross per month, structured as Basic, Housing and Transport, with entry to the band at NGN 180,000. A utilisation bonus is payable in addition to base once you are certified and billing client engagements on more than seven working days in every ten. Analysts sustaining that level of engagement earn total monthly remuneration of NGN 250,000 to NGN 330,000 gross. The advertised range reflects total monthly earnings inclusive of variable pay. The package further comprises a thirteenth month payment and HMO cover from the date of confirmation. Two matters the firm states plainly, because they are not the market norm. The selection class is paid. A daily attendance stipend is paid for every day you attend, together with a completion payment on finishing the full class. You are not asked to fund your own assessment. Training is paid employment. You join the payroll on your start date and are paid your full base salary from day one of training. There is no unpaid trainee period, no reduced training rate, and no requirement to certify before salary begins. HOW THE FIRM WORKS The practice is built to operate with AI in the delivery line rather than alongside it. Analysts are equipped with the firm's AI tooling from the first day and are trained in its disciplined use under a written quality protocol, which requires that every AI-assisted output is verified by a named person before it reaches a client. Nothing leaves the firm on the strength of a machine's word alone. The selection class is run on the same basis. First-pass scoring of assessment instruments is performed by the firm's AI stack and verified by a named member of the panel before any recommendation is made. Candidates already working this way will find the standard familiar and the tooling better than they are used to. Candidates who are not will be trained in it from the first week. PROGRESSION The firm operates a certification ladder: Analyst, Consultant, Engagement Manager, Principal. Advancement at each rung is gated on certified competence in defined delivery modules. Training is delivered through recorded modules, assessment is conducted against work you have personally produced, and promotion follows certification rather than a review calendar. Advancement decisions are made against published metrics and are recorded. Candidates should understand that the standard is applied consistently in both directions. A member of staff who does not certify across two successive promotion windows will be asked to discuss, candidly, whether the practice is the right environment for them. The firm states this at the point of application rather than at the point of appraisal. REQUIREMENTS: A completed degree or HND in accounting, finance, economics, law, business or a cognate discipline NYSC completed or exempt. Serving corps members may apply where Aviot Investment Nigeria Limited is, or may become, the place of primary assignment; this should be stated clearly in the application. Demonstrable competence in Excel or Google Sheets, which is assessed practically rather than by self-report Precise written English, which is assessed by written exercise Working fluency with AI tools in a professional setting, assessed by a live task Between zero and three years of experience. Internship or SIWES exposure to professional services is advantageous but is not a requirement. Availability to work on-site in Lagos on a full-time basis throughout training and certification SELECTION PROCESS Every application complying with the instructions below is read. Applications that do not comply are not read; adherence to written instruction is the first matter assessed. Shortlisted candidates are contacted by email with the class dates, venue and joining instructions. Before attending, shortlisted candidates provide the most recent salary slip or documented evidence of remuneration where applicable, a letter of employment from a current or most recent employer where applicable, and a curriculum vitae with complete employment dates. Physical originals are required at the class. Candidates attending without them are not assessed. The selection class is conducted in person in Lagos over two to three consecutive days, in the presence of the Chairman and before the full assessment panel, and comprises separately scored tracks covering reasoning, technical competence, written communication, presentation and conduct. All assessment materials are provided by the firm and are surrendered at the end of each day. The first class convenes in the week commencing 31 August 2026; precise dates are confirmed at shortlist. Appointments are made on observed performance at the class. No appointment is made on the strength of a curriculum vitae alone. Every shortlisted candidate is informed of the outcome, whether or not an offer is made. TERMS OF APPOINTMENT Employment is with Aviot Investment Nigeria Limited. Appointment commences on a probationary basis, with HMO cover attaching on confirmation. Successful candidates from the first class are expected to commence in the week following the class. Offers carry a training bond reflecting the firm's investment in certification, and a non-solicitation undertaking. Both are set out in full in the offer letter and are discussed openly before any offer is accepted. The firm does not spring terms on candidates at signature. Serving corps members are accommodated in respect of CDS obligations. APPLICATIONS EQUAL OPPORTUNITY Selection is made on demonstrated capability and conduct.
