Key Responsibilities: Assess pupils' learning through assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, and examinations. Monitor and report pupils' academic progress and behaviour to parents and school management. Identify pupils who require additional academic support and provide targeted interventions, particularly in Mathematics. Prepare pupils for internal and external examinations using effective teaching strategies. Perform other duties assigned by the school management. Build pupils' competence in arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, measurement, and problem-solving. Participate in staff meetings, school events, professional development programmes, and extracurricular activities. Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons that promote academic excellence. Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active participation. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching aids, and assessment records. Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching quality and pupils' outcomes. Teach all subjects in the Primary 5 curriculum, with a strong emphasis on Mathematics. Qualifications At least 3 years' teaching experience: at the upper primary level is preferred. Minimum of B.Ed., NCE, or B.Sc. / B.A. with PGDE in Education: or a related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in teaching Primary Mathematics with a proven ability to improve pupils' performance. Strong understanding of the Nigerian Primary School Curriculum. Required Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning tools. Excellent lesson planning, assessment, and record-keeping abilities. Ability to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a love for Mathematics among pupils. Strong classroom management and pupil engagement skills.
