Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant academic position below: Job Title: Bursar Location: Obudu, Cross River Job Summary The Bursar is a Principal Officer of the College by statue and is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of financial affairs of the College. Duties Among others, the specific duties of the Bursar include: Interpreting financial regulations; and Developing and installing an efficient accounting system; Preparing periodic/annual financial reports of the College; Coordinating the financial operations of the College; Advising the Provost on financial matters; Performing any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time. Establishing appropriate internal control system; Qualifications The Candidate should have the following requirements: Must possess relevant Master's degree from a recognized Institution of higher learning with at least 18 years' cognate work experience. Must have been a Deputy Bursar on CONTEDISS 15 Evidence of continuous professional development. Must be a member of a recognized professional body in relevant field. Successful candidates must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of taking up the appointment. Possession of a Doctorial degree is an added advantage. Proficiency in information Communication Technology (ICT) A good honours degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized Institution of higher learning. Duration of Tenure: The tenure for the appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years from the date of appointment. Salary Consolidated Salary for Bursar of Federal Colleges of Education: in Nigeria will apply.
