Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and in accordance with professional standards. Provide patients with counseling on medication use, dosage, side effects, storage, and adherence. Monitor medication therapy and identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related problems. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation. Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including procurement, storage, stock control, and expiry monitoring. Ensure the proper storage and handling of medicines in accordance with regulatory and manufacturer requirements. Participate in medication safety initiatives, pharmacovigilance, and adverse drug reaction reporting. Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, professional ethics, and regulatory requirements. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff where applicable. Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and continuing professional development. Maintain cleanliness, security, and organization of the pharmacy. Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Pharmacy or Hospital Management. Requirements: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution. Valid registration and current practicing license with the appropriate Pharmacy regulatory authority. Minimum of 1–3 years of hospital or community pharmacy experience is an advantage. Sound knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical regulations. Proficiency in prescription review, medication dispensing, and inventory management. Strong communication and patient counseling skills. Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and pharmacy management systems is an added advantage. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
