Description
We are seeking a KYC (Know Your Customer) and Regulatory Compliance Officer with either microfinance bank or consumer credit experience. The officer focuses on customer due diligence, regulatory compliance, and identity verification. Key Responsibilities: Customer Due Diligence (CDD): Reviewing account opening packages, verifying identity documents (BVN, NIN, utility bills), and performing risk assessments for individual and small-business accounts. Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Investigating higher-risk profiles, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and complex micro-merchant structures. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or local regulatory frameworks (eg Hire-Purchase Act). Consumer Onboarding: Validating and maintaining consumer documentation. Required Qualifications and Skills: OND, HND, or B.Sc. Degree in Business Administration, Management, or experience: in the field Solid experience: and track record in an administrative role with a Microfinance Bank or Consumer Credit (pay small small) organisations Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and reporting skills Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Core Competencies & Requirements: Experience: Range: Typically 2 to 5 years in financial services, risk management, or regulatory compliance. Skills: Strong analytical mindset, familiarity with core banking applications, attention to detail, and knowledge of local AML/CFT laws. Certifications: Professional credentials like CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent compliance certifications are a strong advantage.
