We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: ICT Educator (Computer Programming, Robotics and Coding Expert) Location: Life Camp/Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Key Teaching and Instructional Responsibilities: Implement project-based and inquiry-based learning, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and independent problem solving. Teach web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and introductory JavaScript, as appropriate to learner level. Teach block-based programming using ScratchJr for early learners and Scratch (MIT) for upper primary and junior secondary learners. Plan and deliver structured coding and robotics lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and STEM objectives. Develop learners’ computational thinking skills: decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking. Teach robotics and physical computing using Arduino and other robotics kits, including sensors, actuators, basic electronics, and embedded programming. Introduce learners to game development concepts, including logic flow, animation, user interaction, scoring systems, and basic game mechanics. Deliver text-based programming instruction in Python, covering variables, data types, conditionals, loops, functions, and introductory data structures. Curriculum Development and Planning: Ensure a clear progression from block-based coding to text-based programming. Integrate real-world applications and cross-curricular links where appropriate. Review and update curriculum content regularly to reflect emerging technologies and best practices. Design and maintain schemes of work and detailed lesson plans for coding and robotics across different year groups. Develop instructional materials, coding challenges, robotics projects, and assessment rubrics. Assessment and Learner Progress Monitoring: Identify and support learners with exceptional talent or those requiring additional guidance. Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet diverse learning needs and abilities. Assess learners through practical coding tasks, robotics builds, projects, quizzes, and presentations.
