We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Frontend Engineer Locations : Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Position Summary The Frontend Engineer builds PayZeep's web and dashboard interfaces, delivering intuitive, performant and secure user experiences. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, high-performance interfaces that support PayZeep services while ensuring seamless integration with backend systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices The Frontend Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing web and mobile-responsive applications that deliver exceptional customer experiences across the PayZeep digital products. Key Responsibilities: Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards across development teams Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable frontend components. Collaborate with QA teams to develop automated and manual testing strategies. Optimize application performance and cross-browser compatibility. Design, build and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces. Implement secure authentication and authorization controls in collaboration with backend teams. Monitor and improve application performance through profiling, optimization, and code refactoring. Ensure secure handling of customer and payment-related data across user interfaces. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to frontend technology decisions. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve user interface issues and application bugs. Work closely with Product and Design teams to enhance user experience: and customer engagement. Implement frontend security best practices (input validation, XSS/CSRF protection). Participate in code review, sprint planning and technical discussions. Qualifications Bachelor's Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (required). Experience: Total Relevant Experience: Engineer Level I: 3–5 years; Fintech / Financial Services Experience: 3+ years building frontend applications in fintech or a regulated environment preferred Skills & Competences: Familiarity with cloud-based application deployment environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of micro frontend architecture and component-driven development. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (React/Vue/Angular) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Attention to UI/UX detail and cross-browser performance Experience: consuming REST/GraphQL APIs Understanding of web-security best practices (XSS, CSRF, CSP) Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
