Description
The Procurement & Commodity Sourcing Manager will be responsible for sourcing agricultural commodities for the company at the right quality, quantity, price, location, and time, while ensuring proper documentation. The role focuses on: Finding and managing reliable farmers, cooperatives, aggregators, and commodity suppliers across Nigeria. Building a strong and diversified supplier network for agricultural commodities such as beans, ginger, hibiscus, pepper, egusi, ogbono, okra, honey, and other products. Verifying and evaluating suppliers based on quality, capacity, reliability, pricing, and delivery performance. Negotiating prices and commercial terms to achieve cost-effective procurement. Maintaining accurate supplier and procurement records. Developing long-term relationships with reliable, high-performing suppliers. Ensuring consistent quality, quantity, timely delivery, and proper documentation of commodities. Reducing supply risks by avoiding dependence on a single supplier or sourcing location. Supporting the company's agricultural commodity procurement, processing, and export operations. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree / HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2 – 4 years' experience: in procurement or supply chain management. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Good understanding of procurement processes and inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
