Do you have the ability to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate effectively, and ensure timely procurement of quality materials and equipment? We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with an engineering background to join our team Key Responsibilities: Source and evaluate suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, spare parts, and other required items. Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation. Obtain and analyze quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money. Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery timelines, and payment terms. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and other departments to understand and fulfill procurement requirements. Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Maintain accurate records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement transactions. Conduct supplier research and support the development and maintenance of a reliable supplier database. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and approved procedures. Assist in resolving issues relating to delayed deliveries, incorrect items, or quality concerns. Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 1–2 years of relevant experience: in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations. Basic understanding of engineering materials, equipment, tools, and spare parts. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously. Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Candidates with experience: in an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment are preferred.
