We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Project Assurance & Quality Coordinator Location: Lagos Description Provide independent assurance and governance oversight for FM&A projects throughout the project lifecycle by evaluating compliance with approved standards, project governance requirements, quality management systems, and HSE expectations. Lead project reviews, quality audits, contractor performance assessments, and risk evaluations while driving continuous improvement, strengthening project controls, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet cost, schedule, quality, and operational objectives. Task and Responsibilities: Project Assurance Strategy & Governance: Ensure project governance requirements: are embedded throughout project initiation, planning, execution, commissioning, handover, and close-out phases. Define assurance priorities, annual assurance plans, and quality objectives aligned with departmental and organizational goals. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the FM&A Projects Assurance and Quality Management Framework. Establish project assurance methodologies, review criteria, governance checkpoints, and quality performance standards for all FM&A projects. Project Reviews & Stage Gate Assurance: Review project execution strategies, project management plans, risk registers, quality plans, and stakeholder engagement plans. Challenge project teams and contractors where governance, quality, safety, compliance, or value preservation requirements: are at risk. Verify that business, technical, cost, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements: have been adequately addressed before progression to subsequent project phases. Coordinate project readiness assessments prior to tendering, award, execution, commissioning, and handover. Issue assurance findings and track closure of identified gaps and recommendations. Portfolio Oversight: Ensure lessons learned are captured, shared, and integrated into future project execution practices. Identify emerging project risks, trends, recurring failures, and improvement opportunities. Conduct site visits to assess workmanship quality, project progress, safety compliance, and overall project execution effectiveness. Quality, Risk & Opportunity Management: Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams on quality and assurance matters. Analyse project trends, recurring failures, defects, audit findings, and compliance gaps. Conduct routine and targeted surveillance activities on project sites. Verify implementation and effectiveness of identified risk control measures. Participate in project risk reviews and mitigation planning sessions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual assurance reports for Management review. Verify implementation of project management processes and governance requirements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Analyse project trends, recurring failures, defects, audit findings, and compliance gaps. Develop and maintain FM&A Project Assurance and Quality dashboards. Contractor Quality Management: Lead contractor audits and surveillance visits. Monitor contractor quality KPIs. Ensure quality performance metrics are incorporated into contractor performance evaluations. Identify recurring contractor performance deficiencies and recommend corrective measures. Participate in contractor prequalification, technical evaluation, and selection processes. Conduct contractor quality audits, site assessments, and performance reviews. Verify contractor compliance with contractual obligations. Ensure quality and assurance reviews identify conditions that may adversely impact safety, asset integrity, business continuity, or the environment. Evaluate contractor Quality Management Systems and project execution capabilities. Drive digitalization and innovative approaches to project assurance, quality monitoring, and project governance. Monitor contractor compliance with approved quality requirements: and contractual obligations. HSE Objectives: Support the development of proactive safety and environmental leadership within project teams. Integrate HSE considerations into all project assurance and quality management activities. Demonstrate visible commitment to HSSE performance targets and principles and promote a culture where no harm to people, assets, or the environment is acceptable Ensure quality and assurance reviews identify conditions that may adversely impact safety, asset integrity, business continuity, or the environment. Verify implementation of critical risk controls associated with project activities. Job Requirements: Professional certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, ISO Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Project Professional (CCP). Bachelor’s Degree but preferably Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration (MBA), or related discipline. Minimum of 15 years relevant professional experience, 10 years in project management, project assurance, infrastructure, structural, construction or engineering projects, post NYSC professional work experience. Working experience: in SAP PM or other CMMS platform, Building Management System, AutoCAD, MS Office suite, Power Automate and Power Apps Effective oral and written business communications. Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role with demonstrated experience: leading multidisciplinary teams. Possess the credibility and independence necessary to challenge project stakeholders when standards, quality requirements, or governance principles are compromised. Proven experience: managing multi-location projects within the Oil & Gas, Energy, infrastructure, real estate, industrial, or EPC sectors.
