We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Lagos Job Summary The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial controls. The role will support management with financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and decision-making while ensuring the organization’s financial operations are efficient and well controlled. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support the preparation of statutory and regulatory financial reports. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making. Review financial transactions and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate audit activities and provide required financial information and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Strengthen financial controls and improve accounting processes and procedures. Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and accounting records. Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and other financial activities. Qualifications Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial controls. Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: in a healthcare environment is an added advantage.
