We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Technician Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Summary The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technician to join our production team. This role is critical to minimising downtime and supporting efficient furniture production. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment issues. Install, test, and commission new machinery and equipment. Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety standards. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults. Keep the workshop and maintenance tools organised and in good condition. Recommend improvements that enhance machine efficiency and reliability. Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimise production downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records. Work closely with Production and Operations teams to improve equipment performance. Requirements: Willingness to work flexible hours when required. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. OND or Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience: in equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Preferred Experience: Experience: maintaining furniture manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines, edge banders, panel saws, spray booths, compressors, dust extraction systems, and woodworking machines.
