We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Cook Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Prevent cross-contamination during food preparation. Minimize food waste through effective portion control and storage practices. Report faulty or damaged equipment promptly. Learn new cooking techniques and recipes. Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times. Suggest improvements to menus and kitchen operations. Prepare meals according to guests' dietary requirements: and special requests. Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes. Ensure prompt and efficient food service. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions. Follow food safety regulations and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles where applicable. Assist with stocktaking and inventory management. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Ensure compliance with fire safety and emergency procedures. Maintain effective communication within the kitchen team. Support colleagues during busy periods. Respond positively to feedback and implement improvements where necessary. Report accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
