We are currently recruiting a qualified and customer-focused Optician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, outstanding customer service skills, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal vision through quality eye care solutions. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Interpret and dispense optical prescriptions issued by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. Stay updated on current optical technologies, lens options, and industry best practices. Fit, adjust, repair, and maintain spectacles to maximize patient comfort and vision. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical dispensing area. Manage inventory of frames, lenses, and optical accessories. Take accurate facial and pupillary measurements to ensure proper lens fitting. Assist patients in selecting suitable frames, lenses, and other optical products based on their prescriptions, lifestyle, and preferences. Process customer orders and coordinate with optical laboratories. Maintain accurate patient dispensing records and inventory documentation. Educate patients on the proper use, maintenance, and care of spectacles and contact lenses. Ensure all optical products meet quality standards before delivery. Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good numerical and measurement skills. Knowledge of lens coatings, progressive lenses, bifocals, and specialty lenses. 5–7years of experience: in an optical practice or healthcare setting. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team. Strong customer service orientation. Strong understanding of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and optical dispensing techniques. Relevant professional certification and valid practising licence (where applicable). Diploma, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Dispensing Optics or a related field. Preferred Competencies: Strong sales and product recommendation skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment. Experience: using optical management software. Commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences. Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
