Asaba is a rapidly developing Urban Centre and the administrative headquarters of Delta State. The permanent site of the college is along Asaba/Ibusa Road. The College consist of the School of Education, the School of Business Education, the School of Technical Education, the School of Vocational Education: and the School of Computer and Science Education. The basic mission of the college is to improve the quality of Technical Education. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below: Job Title: College Bursar Location : Asaba, Delta Employment Type: Fixed Term Appointment (5 years). Job Summary The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the College. He/She is responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College. Duties Preparing periodic/annual financial reports of the College. Developing and installing an efficient accounting system. Co-ordinating the financial operations of the College. Performing any other related duty that may be assigned from time to time. Establishing appropriate internal control system. Advising the Provost on financial matters. Interpreting financial regulations. Qualifications Candidate must have the following requirements: Must be a member of recognized professional body in relevant field. Proficiency in Information Communication Technology (ICT). Must have been a Deputy Bursar on CONTEDISS 15. A good honours degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalents in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution of higher learning. Successful candidate must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years of age at the time of taking up the appointment. Must possess a relevant Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least eighteen (18) years of cognate experience. Possession of Doctorate Degree is an added advantage. Evidence of a continuous mandatory professional development. Terms of Appointment The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the date of the appointment and on the terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment. The salary/remunerations are as contained in the Conditions of Service for College Bursars of Federal Colleges of Education: in Nigeria, and may be determined by Government policies from time to time.
