As the Head of Finance for Nigeria, you will step into the role of the institutional financial leader for our highest-volume business unit in the region, operating as a true 360-degree Market CFO. Your mission extends far beyond traditional financial oversight, requiring you to actively balance the responsibility of being the business's structural "Shield" by safeguarding compliance, tax frameworks, and mitigating legal risks, while simultaneously acting as its strategic "Motor" to accelerate business partnering and EBITDA growth. What You'll Get To Do Liaise with Global HQ: Partner with global finance teams to surface regional risks/opportunities and share local process improvements to elevate corporate standards. Own Local Controlling: Direct monthly closing reviews, establish financial provisions, and ensure robust reporting packages. Drive Commercial Growth: Propose and execute data-backed initiatives to optimize both top- and bottom-line performance. Conduct Variance Analysis: Deep-dive into deviations between Actuals and Budgets to keep the leadership team continuously aligned. Lead FP&A: Spearhead future planning cycles, build business scenarios, and map clear paths to market profitability. Mitigate Risk: Manage legal, regulatory, and tax risks by formulating practical, localized mitigation strategies. Manage Auditor Relationships: Serve as the primary contact for Big 4 auditors, delivering regular updates and establishing strong technical defenses for financial statements. Safeguard Cash Flow: Oversee treasury operations and core workflows, including billing and Accounts Payable. Qualifications Technical Finance Mastery: 5 to 10 years of solid experience: growing up within technical finance disciplines (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A Planning). EBITDA Stewardship: Demonstrated experience: monitoring P&L targets and managing financial constraints with an "early-warning" mindset. Cross-Functional Fluency: Strong understanding of how commercial levers, logistics, operations, and marketing drive the local P&L. The “Ex-Big 4” Combined Pedigree: A proven background spanning Tier 1 Audit / Big 4 experience, combined with at least 5 years of in-house corporate finance management experience.
