We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: HSE Officer Job Location: Warri, Delta Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a young, dynamic, and safety-conscious HSE Officer to join our team in Warri. The successful candidate will provide hands-on HSE support for our operations at a refinery facility, ensuring compliance with company HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices. Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site safety standards. Conduct regular HSE inspections, risk assessments, safety observations, and toolbox talks. Monitor compliance with the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and safe work procedures. Monitor high-risk activities including hot work, confined space, work at height, lifting operations, excavation, and electrical work. Participate in JSA/JHA, incident and near-miss investigations, and follow up on corrective actions. Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities. Monitor proper handling of hazardous materials, waste, and environmental risks. Monitor contractors' compliance with site HSE requirements. Maintain HSE records and prepare periodic reports on safety performance. Support HSE audits, regulatory inspections, and other compliance activities. Identify and escalate unsafe acts and conditions and take appropriate action to prevent incidents. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or HND in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Power, Manufacturing, Construction, or any high-risk industrial environment. Practical experience: with PTW, Risk Assessment, JSA/JHA, Incident Investigation, and HSE Inspections. Good knowledge of Nigerian HSE and environmental requirements. Strong communication, observation, problem-solving, and report-writing skills. Ability to work effectively in a field-based, high-risk operational environment. Must be proactive, disciplined, safety-conscious, and confident in enforcing safe work practices. Having a relevant certification would be an advantage.
