The role will work backwards from the organisation’s long-term objectives to determine the talent required at every level, the appropriate role structures, compensation architecture, career frameworks, and systems for tracking talent performance. The Director will also play a key role in shaping the organisation’s structure, job nomenclature, career architecture, and institutional talent standards as the company scales. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from role mandate and sourcing to assessment, reference checks, offers, and 90-day integration plans. Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines for priority and senior-level roles. Build and govern structured, multi-stage recruitment and assessment processes. Personally conduct and oversee reference verification for senior and leadership-level appointments. Develop and maintain compensation benchmarks across the organisation. Design and operationalise the company’s compensation, bonus-sharing, and performance frameworks in collaboration with Management. Ensure employment offers and contracts align with the approved compensation architecture. Develop and govern career frameworks, role structures, titles, and organisational nomenclature. Establish and maintain a scalable talent architecture to support the organisation’s growth. Conduct regular talent and succession assessments, identifying leadership successors, development gaps, and retention priorities. Govern talent standards and candidate pipelines across subsidiaries and business units. Lead the NYSC recruitment, selection, placement, assessment, and conversion process. Establish strategic partnerships with leading Nigerian universities and relevant academic institutions. Develop and maintain recruiter specifications, standing shortlists, and recruitment agency relationships. Produce regular talent reports and present key talent insights to senior leadership and the Board. Track senior hiring outcomes, probation exits, and hiring failures, using insights to continuously improve recruitment quality. Oversee relevant employee administration, including HMO, pension, and NYSC administration. RequirementsExperience A relevant first degree is required. A postgraduate qualification and/or recognised professional Human Resources certification will be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have significant experience: in senior-level talent acquisition, executive recruitment, organisational design, and talent strategy. Candidates should have experience: in one or more of the following environments: Talent acquisition or resourcing within a Nigerian Tier-1 bank or a comparable large institution. A Private Equity-backed organisation or high-growth institution. Director-level HR or Talent leadership within a Big Four or leading consulting organisation. Executive search and senior-level candidate placement. The candidate should demonstrate experience: in: Successfully placing senior management and Director-level candidates. Designing or contributing to compensation, bonus, profit-sharing, or pay benchmarking frameworks. Building and governing structured, multi-stage senior hiring processes. Conducting structured assessments and reference verification. Designing career frameworks, job structures, titles, or organisational nomenclature for a growing organisation. Working with senior executives and providing candid, strategic talent advice. Core Competencies: Exceptional judgement in identifying high-quality senior talent. Strong institutional and organisational design capability. Excellent understanding of compensation and performance frameworks. Strong systems thinking and ability to build scalable talent processes. Proven executive recruitment and talent assessment expertise. Ability to identify and address potential senior hiring risks early. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
