This is not a desk-based position. We are preparing to conduct an initial pilot programme with traders in a selected Lagos market and are looking for a capable, organised and hands-on Field Coordinator to lead our day-to-day pilot operations on the ground. We are developing a simple digital platform designed to help everyday traders and micro-business owners better understand and keep track of their businesses. What You'll Be Responsible For You will: Recruit, train and supervise Market Champions. Observe how traders actually use the platform. Coordinate the day-to-day execution of the Lagos market pilot. Coordinate weekly conversations between selected traders and the project leadership. Work closely with the technical team to escalate product and technical issues. Identify problems traders experience: and report them clearly. Prepare concise daily and weekly pilot reports. Coordinate trader recruitment and onboarding. Track trader activation, usage and retention. Conduct interviews and gather honest user feedback. Build relationships with market leaders and trader associations. Manage approved field expenses and maintain proper records. Who We're Looking For You may be a strong candidate if you have experience: in: POS/merchant acquisition FMCG field sales Telecom agent networks Market research Microfinance NGO/community programmes Other grassroots field operations SME support programmes Fintech field operations Requirements: You should: Communicate clearly in English. Be comfortable working inside open markets. Have approximately 2–5 years of relevant field experience. Be organised and able to work independently. Be comfortable reporting to project leadership located outside Nigeria. Have good smartphone and digital skills. Be able to manage a small field team. Be based in Lagos. Yoruba language ability is highly desirable. Be comfortable communicating in Nigerian Pidgin. Be comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets.
