We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Equipment / Logistics Lead Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Generate and manage shipping documents, bills of lading, asset logs, and manifests. Track and maintain inventory databases for tools, machinery, and site assets. Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments of materials and equipment. Coordinate equipment allocation, check-ins, and check-outs across various project sites. Report operational metrics, asset discrepancies, and performance logs to senior management. Optimize shipping and delivery routes to lower costs and boost fuel efficiency. Ensure all material movements comply with local transportation and safety laws. Inspect tools and heavy machinery to ensure they meet workplace safety standards. Monitor active transits in real time and fix delays or route disruptions quickly. Negotiate rates and build relationships with freight carriers, vendors, and haulage providers. Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs for operational equipment and fleet vehicles. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of logistics operations, equipment management, procurement, and supply chain processes. Software proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or specialized Asset Tracking Software. Proven experience: in logistics, warehouse management, or fleet operations. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Good understanding of HSE requirements: and regulatory compliance within the oil & gas or construction industry. Demonstrated leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) is an additional advantage.
