Think of it as building an agent or distributor network, except the agents are sellers, community leaders and micro-influencers. Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Mid level Experience: Length: 3 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Contract - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Recruiting and Activating the Ambassador Network: Recruit and screen ambassador candidates: active sellers, market traders, community leaders, campus organisers, micro-influencers. Take them through Shopnest's application, training and certification funnel, and get their settlement accounts set up. Own the funnel end to end, including the point at which an ambassador becomes genuinely productive rather than merely certified. Coach ambassadors to their own recruitment targets, run briefings and refreshers, manage under-performance, and recommend de-certification where needed. Signing Business Communities: Identify, approach and sign business communities as recruitment partners: market and trade associations, cooperatives, artisan and services guilds, WhatsApp and Telegram seller groups, campus enterprise bodies. Negotiate the terms of each partnership and run activations that convert: onboarding clinics, demo sessions, market walk-throughs, referral drives. Tie every partnership to a measurable seller outcome, not goodwill. Represent Shopnest credibly in front of community leaders and seller groups. Measurement and Reporting: Track attribution honestly: every ambassador code and community campaign measured through to paying sellers. Report weekly on pipeline and monthly on results, including cost per acquired paying seller. Tell us what the field is actually saying about our pricing and product gaps. We would rather hear it early than read it in churn. Requirements: Demonstrable experience: recruiting and managing a distributed network of people who do not report to you: agents, distributors, vendors, field sales reps, brand ambassadors or trade partners. Experience: in the field; markets, trade associations, cooperatives, campuses or seller groups, with the credibility to open doors. Numbers you can talk through. How many people you recruit, what did they produce, and over what period? Numerate and self-managing. Able to own a pipeline and a scorecard without being chased. Excellent written and spoken English. How Success Is Measured: Revenue-Producing Ambassadors: An ambassador you recruited and certified who has brought in their first paying seller. Certification on its own does not count. Paying Sellers Via Ambassador Codes: A seller who registered through an ambassador code and whose subscription payment has cleared. Sign-ups, applications, certifications and activity do not count on their own. Only cleared revenue does. Counts come from Shopnest's own system records at month end, so there is nothing to dispute and nothing to self-report. Milestones: Month 1: learn the product and the funnel, map the ambassador and community landscape, build the target list and the pitch. Milestone: channel plan agreed, first ambassadors in the funnel. Months 2 to 3: recruit and certify ambassadors, sign community partnerships, run the first activations. Milestone: ambassadors certified and producing paying sellers every month. Month 4: repeat what converts, cut what does not, write it down. Milestone: a written playbook someone else can run. Engagement Terms: Type: independent contractor engagement, project-based, not employment. Duration: 4 months with defined milestones. Extendable, or convertible to a permanent role on results. Location: Lagos-based. Regular field work in markets, communities and at partner events is the core of the job, not an add-on. Commitment: full-time equivalent for the duration of the project. Pay: monthly base within the advertised range depending on experience, plus uncapped performance fees on the revenue you deliver. The incentive structure is agreed at the interview. Expenses: field travel, data and event costs covered by the company. Review: results reviewed monthly. If the agreed results are not being delivered, either party may end the engagement on seven days' written notice. Tax: you are responsible for your own tax and statutory obligations as an independent contractor. The Company applies withholding tax where required. Note: This is a field sales role, not a social media or marketing role. You will spend your time in markets, associations and seller communities recruiting people, training them, and holding them to targets. If your background is content creation, posting, or managing brand pages, please do not apply.
