The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting processes within a fast-paced logistics environment and be proficient in the use of QuickBooks. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our logistics company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company. Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents. Assist with payroll-related accounting processes when required. Support internal and external audits. Monitor customer and vendor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Record and reconcile daily financial transactions. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable accounting regulations. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with management accounts. Monitor and track logistics-related expenses, including transportation, fuel, maintenance, and operational costs. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Qualifications Education: ICAN, ACCA, or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage. B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Demonstrable experience: using QuickBooks. Previous experience: in a logistics, transportation, courier, or related industry is an added advantage. Experience: with reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and general accounting processes. Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience. Skills & Competencies: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in QuickBooks is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong numerical and analytical skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good understanding of financial transactions within a logistics/transportation environment.
