Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the successful candidate will drive the Group's financial strategy, capital allocation, investment decisions, financial governance, and long-term value creation while partnering with the Board and Executive Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities: Build and mentor a high-performing Group Finance function while driving finance transformation and digitalization. Manage relationships with banks, investors, development finance institutions, and regulators. Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory regulations, tax, and corporate governance requirements. Evaluate investment proposals from subsidiaries and recommend capital allocation priorities to the Board. Lead group budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. Advise the GCEO and Board on financial implications of strategic decisions including capital projects, acquisitions, joint ventures, and market expansion. Oversee treasury, capital structure, liquidity, and financing activities. Develop and execute the Group's financial strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives. Oversee post-acquisition financial integration and value-realization tracking. Maintain full compliance with tax obligations, royalties, and statutory requirements: across mining, energy, and manufacturing entities. Chair or co-chair the Group Risk Committee; report to the Board Audit & Risk Committee on financial risk exposure Drive enterprise-wide financial risk management and internal control frameworks. Chair or co-chair the Group Risk Committee; report to the Board Audit & Risk Committee on financial risk exposure Manage relationships with banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and capital markets to secure competitive financing Lead financial due diligence, valuations, M&A transactions, and investment appraisals. Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in corporate finance, treasury, capital markets, project finance, and investment management. Strong experience: managing finance within a multi-subsidiary or conglomerate structure. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory. Exposure to cross-border operations, multi-currency environments, and dealings with DFIs (e.g., AfDB, IFC, Afreximbank) is highly desirable. 18 - 25 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 8 years at Group CFO, Executive Director Finance, or equivalent executive level. Experience: engaging Boards, investors, financial institutions, and regulators.
