The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving a strong safety culture, and overseeing environmental protection across all operations. Key Responsibilities: Policy Development & Implementation: Maintain and update the company’s HSE Management System. Establish and enforce HSE policies aligned with Nigerian laws and global best practices. Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with DPR/NUPRC, FMEnv, NOSDRA, and other agencies. Prepare for audits, inspections, and certifications. Risk & Incident Management: Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), HAZID/HAZOP reviews, and risk assessments. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with environmental impact mitigation standards. Oversee waste management, pollution prevention, spill response, and environmental monitoring. Training & Awareness: Build awareness among employees, contractors, and stakeholders. Organize toolbox talks, emergency drills, and HSE training programs. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for petroleum, marine, and haulage operations. Key Requirements: Strong knowledge of Nigerian Oil & Gas regulatory framework. Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety. Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON, OSHA or its equivalent 10 - 12 years’ experience: in HSE within oil & gas or related industries. Proven experience: in waste management, pollution control, and marine operations. Competencies: Ability to work in high-risk, fast-paced environments. Analytical and problem-solving skills for risk management. Leadership and ability to influence organizational culture Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
