The role oversees the planning, design, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all developments meet the Company's quality standards, regulatory requirements, budget, and project timelines. The Head of Architecture is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership for all architectural functions within CasaLavoro Limited. Key Responsibilities: Supervise architectural site inspections to ensure construction aligns with approved drawings and specifications. Develop and implement the department's architectural strategy in alignment with the Company's business objectives. Monitor departmental budgets, project schedules, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution. Lead and oversee all architectural activities across the Company's real estate development projects. Ensure all architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, planning regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Support business development initiatives by providing architectural expertise during project feasibility and acquisition stages. Establish and maintain architectural standards, templates, and quality assurance processes across all projects. Manage relationships with external consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders. Identify and mitigate architectural risks that may impact project delivery. Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize project quality, cost, and functionality. Mentor, coach, and develop members of the architectural team while conducting regular performance evaluations. Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Review, approve, and ensure the quality of architectural concepts, designs, drawings, and construction documentation. Must possess exceptional architectural design capabilities with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative, functional, and aesthetically outstanding projects Drive innovation by introducing modern architectural solutions, sustainable design practices, and emerging technologies. Ensure timely resolution of design conflicts and site-related architectural issues. Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects, site architects, and design consultants. Lead the preparation and presentation of architectural proposals and project reports to Executive Management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Team productivity and performance. Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Reduction in construction-related design errors. Client and stakeholder satisfaction. Quality and accuracy of architectural drawings and documentation. Successful implementation of value engineering initiatives. Timely delivery of architectural designs and project milestones. Compliance with approved project budgets and timelines. Percentage of projects completed with minimal design revisions. Requirements: Strong knowledge of Nigerian building regulations, planning approvals, and construction standards. Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes. 8–10 years post-qualification experience: in architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience: managing multidisciplinary project teams and consultants. Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc / B.Tech.) or Master's Degree in Architecture. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Proven experience: delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality developments. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Lumion, and other architectural design software. Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is an added advantage. Registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is required.
