Job Position: Junior Accountant / Credit Control Officer Job Location: Computer Village – Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Senior Accountant Job Role We are looking for a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented Junior Accounts & Credit Control Officer to support our accounting team. Working directly under the Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for managing customer account records, monitoring credit customers and payment due dates, following up on outstanding payments, and assisting with other day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with numbers, communicating professionally with customers, and maintaining accurate financial records. Job Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate records of all customer/partner accounts. Monitor credit sales and track customer balances and payment due dates. Follow up with credit customers on outstanding and overdue invoices. Contact customers professionally to remind them of upcoming and overdue payments. Prepare and send statements of account to customers when required. Record customer payments and ensure account balances are updated promptly. Identify and report overdue accounts and unusual account activities to the Senior Accountant. Assist in resolving customer account discrepancies and payment-related issues. Maintain proper documentation of customer transactions and collections. Prepare periodic reports on customer balances, collections, and outstanding debts. Support the Senior Accountant during month-end and year-end accounting activities. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Job Qualifications OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Applicants must be 28 years old or younger at the time of application. 1–3 years of relevant experience: in accounting, bookkeeping, credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role is an advantage. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience: with accounting software is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer follow-up skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the supervision of the Senior Accountant. Professional, proactive, and willing to learn.
