We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Business Relationship Manager Location: Benue (Field-based) Department / Function: Commercial & Field Operations Reports To: State Coordinator Job purpose This role is responsible for end-to-end merchant acquisition, terminal deployment, and account retention across assigned commercial areas. Drives business growth by expanding our merchant footprint, building high-value customer relationships, and introducing financial solutions tailored to local business needs. Key responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries, resolving issues promptly or escalating complex operational needs appropriately. Educate business owners on Moniepoint’s suite of products, recommending solutions that match their operational and growth goals. Gather local market intelligence and competitor activity, providing actionable feedback to field leadership to help refine growth tactics. Oversee end-to-end merchant onboarding, ensuring accurate KYC documentation and strict adherence to operational SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Maintain accurate pipeline records and submit timely field performance reports using CRM tools. Identify, visit, and onboard prospective merchants through field engagement, referrals, and local trade community outreach. Conduct transparent discussions on pricing, terms, and agreements within established company guidelines to build trusted partnerships. Achieve and exceed monthly targets for active merchant onboarding, terminal deployment, loan disbursements, and repayments. Build and nurture long-term relationships with merchants to encourage account activity, high transaction volume, and ongoing retention. Qualifications Deep understanding of the local financial services landscape and regional trading dynamics. Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognised tertiary institution. 2 - 4 years of hands-on sales experience, preferably within banking, fintech, payment services, or fast-moving commercial environments. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in merchant onboarding, field sales, or client acquisition. Strong communication and customer relationship skills. Preferred qualifications: Practical experience: with POS terminal deployment, payment acquiring, or business loan products.
