Conduct vein assessments and perform safe, accurate cannulation and IV line insertion. Administer IV therapy according to approved clinical protocols and dosage guidelines. Closely monitor clients throughout treatment for discomfort, infiltration, allergic reactions, or other adverse events. Respond promptly and appropriately to complications and escalate when necessary. Maintain accurate records of treatments, observations, and incidents. Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection-control standards. Prepare, clean, and reset treatment areas between clients. Safely handle, store, and dispose of medical supplies and sharps.
