We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Mechanical Fabricator / Welder - Apapa Terminal Location : Lagos Job Purpose To carry out fabrication, welding, and maintenance activities safely and efficiently, ensuring equipment and structures meet required quality and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Report equipment defects, safety hazards, and operational concerns promptly. Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities as assigned by the Line Manager. Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards at all times. Operate, maintain, and care for welding machines, fabrication tools, and related equipment. Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on fabrication and welding equipment as required. Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, and fitting activities in accordance with approved specifications and safety standards. Inspect materials, welds, and fabricated structures to ensure quality and compliance with technical requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by properly cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after use. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager to support departmental objectives. Qualifications Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or Trade Test Certificate in Welding, Fabrication, or a related discipline. Skills and Competencies: Ability to perform physical inspections and handle manual tasks safely. Good knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision. Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail. Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and specifications. Physical and Work Requirements: Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, six (6) days per week. Ability to work at various plant locations and in industrial environments. Ability to perform physically demanding field-based activities. Medically fit to perform welding, fabrication, and related maintenance tasks safely.
