We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Cost Management Accountant Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production and operational costs, monitoring cost efficiency and profitability, preparing cost forecasts and financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support effective decision-making and cost optimization. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cost Management Accountant to provide strong cost accounting, financial analysis, and management accounting support across its manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: Analyze changes in manufacturing processes and assess their impact on production costs, profitability, and overall financial performance. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare periodic cost forecasts and related financial reports. Develop cost standards for manufactured paint products and services and provide product sample costing to support the Marketing and Sales functions. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs against actual production costs, identifying significant variances and their drivers. Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, utilization, and operational activities to compile and evaluate cost information. Develop and maintain the organization's cost accounting systems, processes, documentation, and records to ensure accurate and effective cost management. Monitor and report on factors affecting the pricing and profitability of paint products and services, providing relevant financial insights to management. Collect, analyze, and maintain data on operational costs, including maintaining the expenses database and reporting on actual profit margins. Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions and improvements to business operations, processes, and policies to reduce costs and maximize profitability.
