The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, creating and coordinating engaging content, managing online communities, increasing audience engagement, and using social media to strengthen the organisation’s brand, visibility, and reach. We are seeking a creative, strategic, proactive, and results-driven Social Media Manager to manage and grow the organisation’s social media presence across relevant digital platforms. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with designers, content creators, presenters, and other team members where necessary to produce quality digital content. Develop and maintain a structured social media content calendar. Support the promotion of organisational initiatives, campaigns, programmes, and commercial opportunities across digital platforms. Identify current and emerging social media trends and recommend opportunities for the organisation to improve its digital presence. Respond to audience comments, enquiries, and messages in a timely, professional, and brand-appropriate manner. Stay updated on changes to social media algorithms, platform features, digital trends, and best practices. Manage the organisation’s social media platforms, including content planning, publishing, monitoring, and engagement. Ensure timely publication of scheduled content and maintain consistency across all platforms. Track and analyse social media performance using relevant analytics tools. Monitor daily conversations, comments, messages, mentions, and trends across social media platforms. Use insights from analytics to improve content strategy and overall social media performance. Prepare regular social media performance reports covering reach, engagement, audience growth, content performance, and other relevant metrics. Develop campaigns and social media initiatives to promote programmes, events, partnerships, projects, and organisational activities. Work closely with the Programmes, Production, Editorial, and other relevant departments to identify and develop content suitable for social media. Grow the organisation’s online audience and strengthen engagement across social media platforms. Create, curate, and coordinate engaging content, including graphics, captions, videos, reels, stories, and other digital content. Ensure that all social media content aligns with the organisation’s brand identity, tone, values, and communication standards. Monitor competitors and relevant industry accounts to identify best practices, trends, and opportunities. Develop and implement effective social media strategies aligned with the organisation’s brand, objectives, and communication goals. Key Performance Areas Performance will be assessed based on, but not limited to: Timeliness of content publication. Effectiveness of social media strategy. Ability to respond appropriately to audience enquiries and online interactions. Audience growth across relevant platforms. Conversion of social media opportunities into measurable organisational outcomes. Performance of social media campaigns. Consistency and quality of social media content. Quality and accuracy of social media reporting. Reach and visibility of content. Engagement rate and quality of audience interaction. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and their respective audiences and content formats. Ability to develop and execute social media campaigns. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics. Good photography, videography, graphic design, or basic video-editing skills will be an added advantage. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to identify trends and translate them into relevant content opportunities. Strong content planning and organisational skills. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Mass Communication, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
