Responsibilities: Manage records workflows including registration, retrieval, filing, coding and retention. Ensure confidentiality and data protection in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and internal policies. Contribute to data quality, audit and service improvement. Lead, supervise and appraise records staff and set records standards. Support clinical care, billing, managed-care and reporting through timely records provision. Maintain accurate, complete and confidential patient health records. Required Skills: Competence in records systems, retrieval and (where applicable) clinical coding. Understanding of confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Knowledge of health information management and records practice appropriate to the role. Accuracy and attention to detail.Effective communication with clinical and administrative colleagues Requirements: Education: Completion of any required internship/registration training and NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable. A recognised qualification in health information management / health records (e.g. BSc Health Information Management, HND / Diploma in Health Records). Experience: Demonstrable experience: leading or coordinating a health records management team or unit. Experience: in service organisation, quality assurance and the supervision and appraisal of staff. Minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience: in health information/records management, including supervisory experience. Substantial post-registration experience: in health records management practice, including experience: at a senior or supervisory level.
