Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy & Sourcing: Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and freight/shipping costs to inform purchasing decisions. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply contracts to optimize cost and secure supply continuity. Develop and execute procurement strategies for cement and urea. Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable domestic and international suppliers and manufacturers. Supplier & Contract Management: Manage supplier performance through KPIs covering quality, delivery timelines, and cost competitiveness. Build and maintain strong relationships with cement manufacturers, traders, freight forwarders, and other key suppliers. Ensure procurement activities comply with quality standards, import/export regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier contracts. Logistics & Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and align procurement volumes accordingly. Coordinate with logistics teams on shipment scheduling, customs clearance, and inland transportation. Manage inventory levels in collaboration with logistics teams to prevent stockouts and overstocking. Support the preparation and review of shipping and import documentation. Reporting & Process Improvement; Recommend and implement improvements to procurement systems and processes. Analyze procurement data to support strategic sourcing decisions. Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance analyses, and spend summaries. Qualifications & Experience: Experience: with international trade, shipping/freight, and import documentation is highly desirable. Minimum of five (5) years of experience: in procurement, preferably within the cement, construction materials, manufacturing, or bulk commodities sectors. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field. Proven experience: in supplier negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing. Professional procurement certifications (CIPS, ISM, or equivalent) are an added advantage. Skills & Competencies: Familiarity with Incoterms, Letters of Credit (LCs), and international trade documentation. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Good understanding of cement industry dynamics, pricing structures, and quality specifications. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
