The Electrician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable rig operations. Key Responsibilities: Test electrical equipment and circuits. Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs. Participate in electrical isolation and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Ensure electrical work complies with approved procedures and standards. Assist with installation and commissioning of electrical equipment. Report electrical hazards and equipment defects. Conduct preventive and corrective electrical maintenance. Maintain electrical tools and test instruments. Comply with HSE and electrical safety requirements. Inspect cables, switches, lighting systems, distribution boards, and electrical installations. Maintain electrical systems, equipment, panels, motors, generators, and control systems. Qualifications Valid offshore safety certification and medical fitness where applicable. Experience: with generators, motors, switchboards, control panels, lighting, and electrical distribution systems. Minimum of OND /NABTEB/ Trade Test in Electrical Engineering or related field. 3–5 years relevant electrical maintenance experience, preferably on drilling rigs, offshore vessels, or oil & gas facilities. Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures. Relevant electrical certification/licence is an advantage.
