Tasks and Responsibilties: Review and update documents, manuals and procedures (Continuous Improvement) Prepare for, and implement industry best practices (Marine Terminal Management and Self-Assessment (MTMSA) and Marine Terminal Operator Competence & Training (MTOCT)) Support contractor interfacing and management through application of the oi System (oi) 8-1 practices including: SSHE execution plan including gap closure plan Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) leadership programs Self-monitoring reporting Contractor assessment. Contractor Work Crew Evaluation Subcontractor management Preparation for the Kick Off Meeting Preparation of Interface Management Plan (IMP) Implement additional systems and practices that are required Provide project management services, and oversight of Marine Terminal related projects Provide assistance with, and oversight of Controls relates activities including marine fueling Streamline and enhance operating practices Perform marine coordination duties when required, this includes but is not limited to: Coordination of general and other activities at the marine terminal Coordination of tugs and port services PTWS Loading Master Coordination of the Safety/Surveillance vessel Personnel Transfer Assist with implementation and improvement of company Best Practices Prepare and author training documents and assessment packages Make recommendations for improving safety Perform vessel inspections and Marine Quality Assurance (MQA) related assessments Provide operational efficiency related advice Perform technical writing services Skills and Qualifications Prior marine experience: as a senior officer position - required Knowledge of applied Operations Integrity Systems, specifically oi 8-1 University Degree preferred Strong culture of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’ The candidate must have a valid marine license and at least 10 years of deck cargo operations experience: on a tanker, FPSO, or FSO. Experience: in the company operations organization – preferred Master Mariners license - required Expert knowledge of current large tanker applied mooring operations and best practices Candidates without the above requirements: will be considered, dependent on experience.
