The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening internal control systems, monitoring operational activities, identifying control weaknesses, preventing losses, and ensuring strict compliance with company policies and procedures. We are seeking a highly competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Internal Control Officer to join our organization. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, integrity, sound judgment, and practical experience: in internal control, audit, risk management, or a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular operational and process reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Identify control weaknesses, irregularities, fraud risks, wastages, and process inefficiencies. Review transactions and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and authorization. Recommend corrective and preventive measures to strengthen operational controls. Follow up on previously reported findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented. Verify production records, inventory movements, material usage, and supporting documentation. Monitor production, inventory, warehouse, procurement, sales, and other operational activities. Assist in developing and improving internal control policies, procedures, and monitoring systems. Carry out routine and surprise checks across various departments and operational locations. Investigate discrepancies and prepare clear and accurate internal control reports. Work closely with management and relevant departments to resolve identified control issues. Maintain proper documentation of observations, investigations, and control activities. Monitor adherence to SOPs and ensure that approved procedures are consistently followed. Requirements: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong communication and report-writing skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, discipline, and attention to detail. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience: in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field. Ability to analyze records, identify discrepancies, and provide practical recommendations. Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience: in a manufacturing company is highly desirable.
