Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Senior level Experience: Length: 5 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Contract - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Provide on-site mechanical and piping engineering support for onshore oil & gas construction projects. Plan and coordinate mechanical/piping construction activities in line with project schedule, scope, and budget. Review and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and engineering standards (API, ASME, ISO, NORSOK). Support installation, testing, commissioning, and design change management. Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, QA/QC, and Construction teams to resolve technical issues. Enforce HSE policies, Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements, and safe work practices. Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSA) and implement risk controls. Monitor QA/QC activities, including welding, coatings, equipment installation, and inspections. Coordinate pressure testing, alignment checks, vibration analysis, leak testing, and mechanical integrity verification. Support commissioning procedures and acceptance testing. Manage field materials, storage, tracking, and tool calibration. Support fabrication activities, including flange management, bolt torquing, coating, and painting coordination. Requirements: Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping engineering in the oil & gas industry. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering specifications. Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO, and NORSOK standards. Experience: supporting installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. Knowledge of QA/QC processes, welding inspections, and mechanical integrity. Strong understanding of HSE practices, Permit-to-Work systems, and risk assessments (JHA/JSA). Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams. Experience: managing field materials, tools, inspections, and construction documentation.
