Job Duties, Responsibilities: and Accountabilities Discussing the development of new pharmaceutical products with the clinic’s pharmacist and accredited pharmaceutical sales representatives and give feedback to the Medical Director. Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the clinic to ensure quality treatment and effective/efficient service delivery. Developing quality assurance procedures for clinical processes. Recommending admission or referral of patients requiring additional and special care, investigation, and treatment. Ensuring proper identification of clients/applicants during the health assessment and record all relevant health information in standard forms; ensuring completeness and accuracy of the recorded information. Maintaining a portfolio of continuing professional development programmes by organising clinical meetings and presentations. Providing advice to patients on lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health and prevent any illnesses/diseases. Promoting health education: in conjunction with other health professionals. Conducting immigration medical examinations to fulfil the technical requirements: of the resettlement countries in the areas of: Treatment and referrals; Other technical areas as may be required TB management; Vaccinations; Documentation, certification and information transmission; and, Medical examinations; Imaging; Laboratory testing; Recording and monitoring patient conditions during every visit, both as a tracking of past treatments/tests run and for referrals and cross-referrals with other doctors (internally and externally). Managing resources to serve patients as effectively as possible. Medical Officers are supposed to work across multiple departments. Participating in the treatment of TB and sexually transmitted infections and provide support to the HIV and counselling activities in full compliance with the technical instructions, guidelines and protocols of the resettlement countries. Organising and coordinating preventative medical care programmes for individual patients, and presentations for clients. Offering health promotion and prevention activities within the clinic, for example, training all medical staff to use devices such as ECG machines and diabetes monitors. Gathering and maintaining patient information confidentially. Keeping up-to-date with medical developments such as new drugs on the market, new treatment methods, and technological advancements to be discussed with the doctors and the Medical Director. Performing other tasks as may be assigned. Providing the best medical advice for the patient and referring them to a specialist, such as the consultant family physician or eternal specialists, for specific conditions such as diabetic patients or newborn babies. Examining and recording information on patients’ conditions by sensitively gathering personal information, such as family medical history. Meeting targets set by the government for specific treatments such as child immunisation schedules. Planning and preparing appropriate treatment packages for patients Qualifications A medical Degree from an accredited university. Minimum of 2 years post medical school experience: as a medical doctor Experience: providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting. Functional/Technical: Effectively and efficiently analyse data. Possess sound knowledge of the health education: industry and its market. Has excellent presentation skills Ability to carry out procedures such as wound dressing, checking blood pressure, and other physical exams. Ability to operate medical equipment such as the ECG machine. Excellent use of Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, and any reporting medical software. Behavioural: Proactive decisions are constantly seeking better alternatives. Must be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
