Actively promotes Safety Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) awareness and monitors performance to ensure safety standards and safe working practices / leads by example. Interface with Regulatory Authorities & Stakeholders, i.e. Classification Society & Flag State, on technical integrity of vessels whilst maintaining cordial relationship with stakeholders. Guides crew on board the vessels to ensure the Company standards are met, and work is done as per guidelines and specifications Take responsibility for the correct allocation of costs related to the vessel’s repair and maintenance, dockings, damages and modifications. Execute repairs, supervise crew and subcontractors in line with the agreed planning, budget and quality standards. Requirements: To fulfil the position of Technical Superintendent, Nigeria, you are in possession of: Experience: as a technical superintendent or technical manager in a similar environment/company. At least higher / secondary vocational education: in mechanical engineering, naval architecture or equivalent. Experience: as a former chief engineer on offshore support Vessels is preferred. At least 7 years of verifiable experience: gained as a technical superintendent/port engineer or technical manager. Fluent command of the English language, spoken and written.
