We are looking for an ESG Research Analyst with experience: or strong knowledge of the agriculture sector to support research, analysis, assessments, and reporting on environmental, social, and governance issues affecting agriculture, agribusinesses, food systems, and related value chains. The successful candidate will analyse sustainability performance, climate risks, environmental impacts, social issues, governance practices, and emerging ESG trends within the agriculture sector. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of ESG ratings, scorecards, sector reports, research papers, and assessment reports. Research ESG trends, risks, opportunities, policies, and regulations affecting the agriculture sector. Review governance structures, ESG policies, business ethics, and risk management practices. Assess sustainable sourcing, responsible procurement, and agricultural supply chain traceability. Assess climate risks, climate resilience, and climate-smart agriculture practices. Review labour practices, worker welfare, human rights, community engagement, and other social issues. Conduct ESG and sustainability assessments of agricultural companies, projects, and value chains. Analyse environmental issues including land use, soil health, water management, biodiversity, deforestation, and resource efficiency. Analyse ESG and sustainability disclosures against relevant reporting frameworks. Prepare clear research reports, presentations, and management briefs. Engage with companies, industry stakeholders, regulators, development organisations, and other relevant stakeholders when required. Conduct benchmarking and comparative analysis across agricultural companies and subsectors. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Science, Environmental Science, Forestry, Sustainability, Economics, Finance, Rural Development, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification in sustainability, climate change, agriculture, environmental management, economics, or a related field will be an advantage. 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience: in agriculture, agribusiness, sustainability, ESG research, environmental research, climate change, development finance, agricultural finance, or a related field. Experience: conducting research, assessments, data analysis, and report writing. Experience: working with agricultural businesses, projects, commodities, food systems, or agricultural value chains will be an advantage.
