We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Translator and Localization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience: with AI translation models, AI / MT engine training, prompting skills, and a strong background in language quality assurance (LQA) processes. This role is instrumental in driving high-quality translations and advancing our localization capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Ensure publishing quality by reviewing final translations for accuracy, tone, and alignment with brand guidelines. Perform high-quality translations in the native language, ensuring cultural and contextual accuracy. Evaluate the performance of Large Language Models (LLMs) for translation and train LLMs tailored to specific commodities or domains. Effectively communicate and share relevant information with cross-departmental teams and external vendors to align translation efforts with business needs. Test and implement new translation features while staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the translation and localization industry. Collect, analyze, and implement feedback from internal stakeholders while providing actionable feedback to external vendors. Manage terminology by creating and maintaining glossaries and translation style guidelines. Coordinate ad hoc translation projects with external vendors and oversee project timelines to ensure timely delivery. Regularly clean and maintain Translation Memories (TMs) to ensure consistency across translations. Required Qualifications At least 3 years of experience: translating marketing materials and commodities markets-related content (about Oil & Gas sectors or any other commodities) into the native language. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Demonstrated expertise in AI translation models, engines training, and LQA processes. Proficiency in design and formatting tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or similar software is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with adapting content for various digital formats (e.g., PDFs, presentations, and interactive media) Familiarity with journalism or media is highly desirable. Fluency in both French and English is essential. A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and departments. Familiarity with Smartcat CAT tool is desirable.
